BSA Youth and Adult Leaders
Basic NRA instructor Disciplines available through additional courses in:
- Basic Instructor $25 (required (except RSO & reloading) before taking any other courses, unless it has been completed within the last 12 months.)
- All other Instructors $105
- Range Safety Officer $105
- Refuse To Be A Victim $25
NOTE: If you are not a registered scout leader, or you intend to get your Utah Concealed Carry Instructor or teach any classes for profit the cost is $260.
Classes will be held at the Utah National Parks Scout Office located at 748 North 1340 West in Orem, UT. Shooting will be done at the Squaw Peak Shooting Range.

Become a certified NRA/BSA Instructor
**New BSA Policy: NRA Instructor and Range Safety Officer must be present at all shooting activities. Where teaching and range operation are occurring at the same time there must be two people: an NRA Instructor and Range Safety Officer. See 'Guide to Safe Scouting'
Basic Instructor is required (except RSO and reloading) before taking any other courses, unless it has been completed within the last twelve months. The Basic Instructor must be followed by at least one NRA Firearms Instructor Course.

NRA Certification fees are included in the course costs.
NRA membership is available for $25 instead of the regular $35.
Participants 13-17 years may become Apprentice Instructors. Those 18 years and older may become Assistant Instructominimum of one week prior to the course date. Minimum class size is six or class will be cancelled.
