A Regional Kodiak & Kodiak X Course Director Conference.
Would you like to learn more about Kodiak and Kodiak X so that you can better understand
and offer these exciting programs for your youth? This is your chance to not only learn
about the programs, but to also obtain useful information that will help you in planning your
Treks with ease.
From 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (With a working lunch)

Who should
attend?
This conference is for anyone interested in learning more about how to plan a Kodiak
course. Future trek directors, assistant trek directors, instructors, staff advisors and other
Venturing leaders interested in bringing Kodiak to their crew and/or council are encouraged
to attend. The information presented will provide a strong foundation as you plan for your
course.
Conference
Curriculum:
An enthusiastic staff of Kodiak trainers will cover a wide range of topics, including: course
standards and guidelines, course format, approval process, budgeting, staff selection &
development, participant recruiting, logistics, etc. In addition, we will present a number of
actual Kodiak commissions. Ample time will be dedicated to answering questions about
how to run a successful Trek and Kodiak X course.
Fee: There is no cost for the training. Material will be available A la carte. We will send out for
lunch and those who wish to partake can pay their share ($6 - $8).
